Everyone enjoyed our Japanese lunch last week. The children were great at trying new food, and using their chopsticks! Here are some photos of our lunch.

Week 3

Last week we started our cross country training. All children are doing really well, and are keen to practise daily, and collect sticks when they do a circuit.
We are continuing with the ANZAC theme in our Rich learning on a Tuesday afternoon. Please talk to your child about what they are doing each week.
This Friday is our class's Assembly. All welcome at 2.30pm.

Term 2 Week 1

Welcome Back.
We hope you all had a great relaxing holiday.
The salad sandwich  activity on the last day of the term was a great success. Everyone tried the sandwiches, and most enjoyed them! Here are some photos of the activity.

Week 7

Well done to everyone in our Assembly on Friday. Great singing!

This week we are making our seed men. Come and see them, and check out how they are growing.

Thanks to all the parents who came along to the Interviews. Please remember to send back the student information sheets, if you haven't already done so.

We will still be swimming if the weather is warm, so please put togs in every day, as it sometimes comes out quite hot in the afternoons.

Abel Tasman trip photos

Some photos from our amazing trip on Tuesday.

Week 6

Another busy week this week.

We have our trip to the Abel Tasman Park tomorrow, Let's hope the weather is fine! We will be leaving school at 9am, and returning by 3pm.

On Wednesday afternoon at 1.30pm we will be running the Junior Tryathalon. Can all bikes and scooters be taken home after this, please.

On Friday it is a combined Gold and Taniwha Room Assembly at 2.30pm. All welcome to come and see what we have been doing.

Don't forget the Twilight Market on Wednesday evening from 5 - 7pm.

Week 5

A great day last Friday with our swimming sports. Everyone did really well. Congratulations Maia, for swimming a whole length!

This week we are training for the triathlon on Friday. Parents are welcome to come and watch at 11am. Please remember to take bikes and scooters home afterwards.

Please also remember to bring back permission slips for next week's trip, and Student information sheets.

Between everything else we are learning about seeds and gardens, and looking after our own garden. Come and have a look!

Don't forget the Twilight Market at school on Wednesday evening, starting at 5pm.

Week 4

What a week! We have finished planting up our garden, and are now waiting for everything to grow.
We have also had Kate at our school, teaching cricket skills to the children. They all seem to be enjoying it.
We are also training for the school triathlon next Friday. The children may leave their bikes or scooters at school if they want to.
Then there are our school swimming sports this Friday, starting at 10.30am. Come along and see your child swim.

Week 3

This week we are planting up our own garden. Today the children weeded it, ready to plant up later this week. The children might like to show you.
It is great to see everyone bringing their togs every day. The children are all making progress, and can all kick across the pool.
Please remember to send back book bags, reading books, spelling notebooks etc. every day!

February News

We have a lovely little class of 17 year 2 and 3 pupils. Our class name is the Gold Room, because gold is very precious in New Zealand, and we are precious people! This week we are talking about ourselves and our roles in our families, and at school. We are also doing lots of swimming while the weather is warm.
