This week we have been learning about Olympics. We made some awesome torches just like the one that gets passed around the world. We have also been watching videos of the torches getting passed around the world they get lit by a torch. After the torch has travelled the world it comes to Rio de Janeiro for the Olympic Opening Ceremony. One day I wish that I could carry the Olympic Torch around, where all the countries walk in.
In the Olympics there are 28 sports and 10500 competitors. My favourite sport in the Olympics is girls artistic gymnastics and syncronised swimming. We were also learning about the two mascots of the Olympic games Vinicious and Tom. Vinicious is made out of the zoo animals like birds, snakes, monkeys and crocodiles and Tom is made out of fruit like grapes, bananas, strawberries and apples.
The people who have one arm or a disability go to Toms Olympics that is called the Para Olympics. The people who have a full body go to Vinicious Olympics.
We also made some drawings about the Olympics because its almost Brooklyn Schools olympic day we will be travelling to the Rec Centre to do some awesome sports. I am so excited to carry on our Olympic work
